Italy’s PFM is a super-overlooked prog behemoth of unstoppable force. It seems most of the progressive shit coming out of that area around then was just hella cinematic. Of course there’s Goblin, but everyone and their mom knows that. There’s still PFM, Le Orme, Osanna, Franco Battiatio, and a bunch more. I’ll admit, I’m new to this band, but they embody exactly what I dig about this place and time: dynamic changes, soaring synths (that could easily be crazy effected guitars), and some pastoral Pink Floyd-esque parts. Not a ton of prog makes it on this site, but we did post something about Swedish dudes Trettioariga Kriget not too long ago. Anyway, check this shit out. You won’t regret it. At least Italian sounds less retarded than French …
