Ithdabquth Qliphoth is one of Russia’s best black metal bands, way up there with Old Wainds. This is seriously raw, brutal black metal, and these two tracks are from their first release Demonic Crown of Anticreation. Russian BM bands tend to be overly obsessed with Darkthrone for some reason, and while they are a rad band it’s like, c’mon, there are other bands out there, too. This isn’t too far from that whole vibe, but it borrows a lot from the whole depressive genre (Burzum, old Hypothermia, etc) as well. The one thing I can tell you is that this is super pissed. Their newer stuff is better, I’ll give you that, but this is still rad. With titles like “Your Fucking Creation is Bleeding Away,” how can you go wrong?
