I’ve come to the realization that Dinosaur Jr. is timeless. J Mascis and company have been with me through middle school, high school, college, and now for all my wasted years of fucking off. Somehow the songs never change – slacker anthems for generations modeled by deafening noodley guitars, half-assed vocals, and sugary-sweet hooks and choruses that I can’t get enough of. The ‘Feel the Pain’ video is still one of my favorite videos ever (thanks Spike Jonze). Case in point, Dinosaur Jr. = fun. Grab your skateboard and meet me after class, bro.
